Road signs and signs need to use color theory in the design, fully highlight the social application of vision, and use color psychological effects and color psychological dynamics in the design. In road signs and signs, there are mainly five basic colors: red, blue, yellow, white, and black.
1.Red

2. blue

The proper use of blue, red, and yellow can form a harmonious relationship of contrast and harmony. In addition, blue has a variety of psychological effects. For example, blue has a calming effect, can calm people's emotions, and also has a certain effect on lowering blood pressure. Blue is a receding color, so blue objects appear to be farther away than they actually are. Blue can also make people feel that time passes quickly, and people respond to blue in a relaxed state. In road signs and signs, blue is easily recognized to indicate the meaning of instructions and follow, so it is widely used to indicate driving information such as place names, routes, and directions. It is generally used as the internal color of road signs. The following picture shows the road walking signs. 3.Yellow
Yellow has a golden light. It is the most brilliant and brightest color. It represents clarity, happiness, nobility, hope, development, attention, splendor, brilliance, wealth and power. It has the brilliance of the sun, symbolizing the light of wisdom ray that removes darkness. At the same time, yellow is also a cheerful hue with a little excitement. But at the same time yellow also symbolizes danger, attention and anxiety. Yellow has very good visibility. It is more eye-catching when paired with black. It is often used as the color of hazard warning signs or caution signs. Such as the yellow light on traffic signs, and the background color used for warning signs in many traffic signs. The following picture shows the "Beware of Electric Shock" sign. It is very eye-catching with a yellow background. It warns that there is a dangerous object in front of you for electric shock.
4. Black and white
The two colors of black and white are complementary. White is a bright color, the achromatic color with the highest brightness, and a pure color, representing peace, cleanliness, innocence, and sacredness. Black is a dark color and is the non-color with the lowest brightness. When white and black are matched, they form a simple, clear, simple and powerful effect, giving people a sense of weight and stability, and have a good visual communication ability. In traffic signs, the color of warning signs is black borders and black patterns, while traffic signs with white background and black characters are auxiliary signs. Black is mainly used as the internal pattern of the ban sign. White is mainly used as the internal pattern of the indicator.
